Here is a listing of our small groups currently meeting. If you don’t see a group that you’re part of, please click here to let us know.
Beginning Wednesday, September 5th at 10:00 a.m. in the church library.
We will be studying Paul – his message and mission through the Books of Acts and Romans. In order to be sure that we have enough study books for everyone, please contact the church office to sign up at 636-456-3390 or email@example.com by August 19th or sign up on the CUMC Discipleship Bulletin Board in vestibule outside the church office.
Our groups will change from time to time, so if you are looking for a place to connect, we can help! Go the “Contact Us” tab and let us know or contact the Church Office. If you’ve been involved in a church by coming to worship, that’s great! Worship is often the first step in growing in your faith. It’s kind of like entering someone’s home (in this case God’s house) and your first step is into the entry hall or foyer. It’s a nice place, but if you really want to get to know someone, you will move to the living room and then when you’re really comfortable – to the kitchen! At CUMC we see groups as the “kitchen” of the church – a way to get to know others and a vital step to knowing Christ and growing in your faith.
Youth meet every Sunday at 10:30 AM and every Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 pm in room 105. In addition, our youth are involved in serving activities in our community and other events such as our 2017 Mission Trip to Texas! We consider youth to be a vital part of the life of College UMC. Our Director of Children and Youth Ministries, Dawn Martin, would be happy to answer any of your questions!
We love children at College UMC! We have children’s Sunday School for kids up to and including Grade 5 at 9:00 AM each Sunday and there are free children’s and family events throughout the year. A Nursery staffed by a Safe Sanctuary certified attendant is available each Sunday. For more information on Children’s and Youth Ministry contact Dawn Martin our Director.
The women’s Bible study welcomes women of all ages to learn and grow in your faith and understanding of scripture. The topics for discussion are from The Upper Room devotional and questions, published every Wednesdays. The group meets every Sunday at 7:45 in room 105.
Men’s Faith Discussion Group welcomes men of all ages and is a great place to grow in your understanding of scripture as it is applied to everyday life and to discuss questions of faith. A variety of resources are used including DVD sermon clips, books on faith issues, Upper Room devotionals, and other men’s materials. The group meets every Sunday at 7:45 in room 205 (The Parlor).
