The United Methodist Church is responding to the disaster through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).

Two ways to help:
• Health Kits (Value $10): College UMC is partnering with the United Methodist
Committee on Relief (UMCOR) to collect disaster health kits. Kits can be made and then dropped
off at the church.
Seal the following in a one gallon, zip lock plastic bag: |
1 hand towel (16"X28")
1 nail clipper
1 washcloth
1 toothbrush in original packaging (not multi-packs please)
1 wide-tooth comb
1 bar of soap (bath size, in wrapper)
6 Band-Aids
1 $1 (one dollar) bill (to pay for toothpaste to be added) |
• Donate to UMCOR - 100% of your donation goes directly to disaster relief!
- Go to the
UMCOR Website to donate.
(The site is receiving a lot of traffic, so if it is slow don't give up.)
When you checkout, the site will ask if you would like your local church to get "credit" for this
donation. CUMC does NOT receive any portion of your donation. This simply means that UMCOR
tracks what local churches that donations come through. If you would like your donation to "count"
for CUMC, please select Missouri - Gateway Regional and then select College UMC at that point
in your check out process.
- Donate directly to CUMC: Checks should be made out to - "College UMC" and noted "Haiti Relief".
Mail them or drop them off at the Office Monday - Friday, 9 - 3 or at Sunday worship.
